Breathing Within a Burn

Breathing within a burn: A social choreography of grief and gratitude- a dance for humans, trees, and fire as more-than-human kinstillations.

You are invited to a happening between kinstillatory thought sisters, Emily Johnson and Karyn Recollet who read from, discuss and further their thinking of the kinstillatory and the overflow, particularly in relation to their new article, written together via distance during the deep months of the coronavirus pandemic.

In partnership with Digital Hub and collaborators to be announced soon.

For this special performance STTMNT participating artist Emily Johnson will be joined by collaborators Karyn Recollet, an urban Cree scholar/artist/and writer, and Joseph M. Pierce, Associate Professor at Stony Brook University.
