Oct 06, 2020

Pilgrim Roots and the Bassetlaw Museum have announced an exciting new series of videos which explores a number of key locations in the Mayflower story.

'Pilgrim Churches, Where It All Began' is a series of seven videos set in the local churches the passengers and crew would have known in the 17th century.

These short films will feature sites and stories from across the Pilgrim Roots region - in Babworth, Retford, Worksop, Sturton, Gainsborough, Scrooby and Austerfield.

A different video will launch every Thursday evening at 8pm, from 8 October to 19 November.

The first video this Thursday (8 October) will feature Babworth Church, where Richard Clyfton preached nonconformity to an early separatist congregation which included William Brewster and William Bradford.
