University of Plymouth: Britain and the World 2020 Conference (Date TBC)

Organised by the University of Plymouth, Britain and the World returns to the UK in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s sailing.

The University can trace its heritage back to the Plymouth School of Navigation, which was founded in 1862.

Its home city has been a gateway to the Americas for centuries, ever since the Pilgrims left on board the Mayflower in 1620 - and the University is playing a key role in the wider city’s Mayflower 400 celebrations.
