Sue has advised on and appeared in several TV and film documentaries including BBC Coast, PBS/ Steeplechase Films/BBC Pilgrims, Kirk Cameron’s Monumental as well as in numerous interviews for local BBC and American radio relating to the subject of the Mayflower Pilgrims in England. She is a dedicated Mayflower Pilgrim historian/author having written a number of Pilgrim-related books and articles containing original research published in The Mayflower Quarterly, The American Genealogist and the New England Historic Genealogical Society Register.

Her specialist subjects are William Brewster, William Bradford and the Scrooby Separatists, Pilgrim Susanna White-Winslow of Scrooby (DGR), Scrooby Manor House, Gainsborough Old Hall, Pilgrim Elizabeth Barker Winslow of Suffolk (DGR), Pilgrim Isaac Allerton of Suffolk (DGR), Pilgrim William White of Wisbech (DGR), Dorothy May Bradford (DGR) of Wisbech, Pilgrim Governor John Carver of Suffolk(DGR), the origins of Separatists of Norfolk and Suffolk, and stories of Separatist Women.
