Thanksgiving Service at Plymouth Cathedral

A Thanksgiving Service will be held at Plymouth Cathedral to mark the successful establishment of the Plymouth Plantation Community.

Sisters of Mary Morning Star will sing Vespers, followed by a Thanksgiving buffet meal.

In attendance will be civic dignitaries, the Chapter, possibly Papal Nuncio, Archbishop of Boston, Mass or one of his auxiliary Bishops or the Dean of Boston Cathedral, Deanery clergy and a cross-section of those involved in the Mayflower celebrations, Church communities, and many more.

Canon Mark O’Keeffe, Cathedral Dean in Plymouth, said: "Plymouth Cathedral is delighted to be involved in the Mayflower 400 celebrations.

"We hope that our events will appeal to all ages and provide an enjoyable reflection on the perseverance the Pilgrims displayed on their voyage and the struggle to establish their new settlement. May God bless you all."
