What better setting for three days of eclectic live music, with the crisp blue seas beyond the port and town of Dartmouth providing the background for one of the region's most popular events?
The annual three-day Dart Music Festival will return in 2020 forming part of the Mayflower commemorations with its now renowned mix of performances spanning almost every musical genre at venues across the historic town.
On Sunday, May 17, the Dart Festival Chorus will be performing a concert based on music surrounding the Mayflower story.
From orchestral, rock, choral, blues, opera, folk, and jazz - the festival lives up to its motto of 'Music for All' with aplomb. Performances take place at a variety of indoor and outdoor venues including two churches, the bandstand in the Park, outside the castle, and various hotels, pubs, and restaurants, throughout the weekend. And its all FREE to listen to!
Since it's inception in 1998, the Festival has attracted thousands of visitors and has become one of the stars in Dartmouth's calendar, appealing to old and young alike. There are many events from individual, group, and local school performances, to storytelling, dance displays and workshops.
