Mayflower 400 - New Year, New Me

Is your new year’s resolution to enjoy a healthier lifestyle?

'Mayflower 400 - New Year, New Me', organised by Argyle Community Trust and Barnardo's Plymouth, is hosting a free wellbeing event at Plymouth Guildhall on Tuesday, 14 January from 10.30am to 12noon.

Offering sports, arts, crafts, music, singing and reading, together with information on volunteering, training and employment, this fun-filled morning is for anyone who wants to make 2020 their healthiest and best year yet.

Almost 20 organisations are expected to take part and will be offering a great mix of fun activities, from ‘tiny tots’ football sessions with Plymouth Argyle to dental health advice with puppets.

There will also be BMI assessments, disability employment advisers, and health visitors explaining brain development by encouraging children and their parents to make ‘neurons’ out of pipe-cleaners! A baby play area will be provided, and partners will be offering a variety of goody bags.

Don’t miss your chance to keep on track with your healthy New Year’s resolutions, and have fun and meet new people at the same time.

A full list of participants and their activities will be posted on the Barnardo's Plymouth Facebook page, and more information is available by calling Karen on 07740 501122 or emailing karen.marlton@barnardos.org.uk
