More than 400 swimmers are expected to swim back to Plymouth Hoe from the city's iconic breakwater for the Chestnut Appeal Mayflower 400 Breakwater Swim in August 2020.
The 4km Breakwater Swim raises money for the Chestnut Appeal, which supports men's health in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall and £50,000 is hoped to be raised in the Mayflower 400 commemoration year.
Registration takes place on the historic Barbican and swimmers are taken out by boat from Commercial Wharf to the Breakwater - before swimming back to shore.
If you would like to take part the only condition is it is asked that all those who sign up have experience of open water swimming and should be able to complete around 160 lengths of a 25m pool.
The swim will be fully supported on the water by Event Water Safety who will provide the craft and expert cover for the event.
Registration for the Mayflower 400 Breakwater Swim is £50 and entry to the swim will be open in August 2019 at https://www.chestnutappeal.org.uk/
