Chorley’s historic house, Astley Hall, is all set to be transformed into an enchanted winter wonderland again with bright coloured lights, music and unique artistic performances.
This year the event will be linked to the national Mayflower 400 anniversary with Chorley’s own documentary on the link to Myles Standish being screened at the event.
Between 5pm and 10pm on Saturday, November 23, Chorley’s historic gem will be lit up in magnificent LED spotlights and hundreds of candles to help mark the start of Chorley’s Christmas Celebrations.
Come along and see 400 years of history in a different light. From the Tudors and Stuarts to the Georgians, Victorians and Edwardians, meet the characters from the past as we illuminate Astley Hall and the Walled Garden.
Cafe Ambio will be serving delicious hot food and drink and there will also be other seasonal stalls outside the hall serving drinks and mulled wine.
