Illuminate 2018 - Scrooby

The third Illuminate event hosted by Bassetlaw District Council will this year will take place in the historic village of Scrooby, with its renowned Pilgrim connections.

The event will begin with a service at St. Wilfrid’s Church at 5pm, including a talk by historian Sue Allan on ‘The Forgotten Pilgrim Women’, followed by a recital from Scrooby Manor’s own Kamilla Dunstan.

At 6.15pm there will be a lantern parade around the village with local uniformed groups, ending at the Village Hall.

At the Village Hall, students from Retford’s Elizabethan Academy will perform an interpretive drama about the Pilgrim Children’s journey. Refreshments will be served.
